The “Frigate Berlin” is a small frigate, it was designed according to the French style in the Netherlands (Zeeland) in 1674. In 1975 the ship has been acquired by the Great Elector of Brandenburg, Frederick William, at the height of the Swedish-Brandenburg War, which lasted until 1679. The frigate became part of the so-called Brandenburg Flotilla, which consisted of about 30 ships including the frigate, yachts, Galiota, shnyave, the fire, etc. The main task of the flotilla was the control over trade routes, maritime trade in the waters of hostile states and other naval military operations. The frigate Berlin participated in the Battle of Yasmund and later on in operations in the Baltic. Armament - 18 seven-pounder guns, 12 on the lower and 6 on the upper deck.
